Felix Suárez Merlín
Born in Havana in 1965, Felismerlin Suárez Merlín is a Cuban painter whose work explores the poetic tension between everyday objects and symbolic narratives. Trained at the José A. Díaz Peláez School of Visual Arts and the Higher Institute of Industrial Design in Havana, Felismerlin blends technical precision with emotional depth.
His paintings often feature still lifes, domestic scenes, and surreal compositions that evoke memory, irony, and introspection. Whether through a solitary plate, a fragmented clock, or a whimsical animal, his imagery invites viewers to reflect on the quiet drama of ordinary life.
Felismerlin’s work is marked by a subtle palette, layered textures, and a contemplative rhythm. Exhibited in spaces such as the Hotel Armadores de Santander and the Provincial Center for Visual Arts in Havana, his art continues to resonate with those who seek meaning in the intimate and the overlooked.
