LISANDRA J. ORTIZ

Born in Havana in September 2003, Lisandra studied violin for six years at the Guillermo Tomás Conservatory and four more at the Amadeo Roldán Conservatory. She has shared the stage with renowned musicians such as Jorge Luis Pacheco, David Faya, Otto Santana, Rolando Luna, Wiliam Roblejo, Rodney Barreto, and the Joaquín Betancourt Jazz Band, among others. She is currently a member of the Symphony Orchestra of the Cuban National Ballet.

EL KALDER

Immersed in the arts since the age of nine, El Balde began with the children’s project Los Zafiritos. At ten, he joined a singing course and became part of the children’s choir of the Teatro América. By thirteen, he independently recorded his first song, debuting in urban music and soon after in Hip Hop, participating in events organized by the Cuban Rap Agency for new talents. Alongside his solo career, he explored urban music fusions and spent a year with the reggae group Karamawi before pursuing a solo path. As a solo artist, he has released several successful tracks and performed at iconic venues like El Salón Rosado de La Tropical, La Cecilia, and El Jhonny, sharing the stage with notable acts such as Caribe Girl and Kola Loka, among others.

DJ REITT

Experiencia Cubana del Vinilo (Cuban Vinyl Experience) is a project coordinated by Reiniel Torres Thondike (DJ Reiit) and Félix Leandro Pupo Leyva (Producer). The initiative aims to highlight Cuba’s musical heritage through vinyl record compilations, creating a vibrant and authentic atmosphere that celebrates the country’s roots. Including this experience in your visit to Cuba offers not only an immersive encounter but also a deep dive into the island’s rich musical culture. Tourists will enjoy timeless genres like son, jazz, mambo, and more—sounds that have shaped Cuba’s musical identity—while surrounded by a setting that honors local traditions.

BOHEMIA CUBANA

Ernesto Ramírez and Roxana Pérez make up Bohemia Cubana, a vocal-instrumental duo founded in 2003, driven by a deep connection to traditional Cuban music. Their artistic focus centers on timeless Cuban genres such as bolero, son, guaracha, cha-cha-chá, and romantic ballads, as well as styles like the habanera. They also incorporate select pieces from international music repertoires, adding their own distinctive touch and a contemporary sound. Their goal is to offer audiences a refined musical experience, with great attention to interpretation, execution, and artistic concept.

STEFANY C. ANGARICA

Stephany graduated from the Guillermo Tomás Bouffartigue Conservatory (Secondary Level) and the Amadeo Roldán Conservatory (Advanced Level). A performer and music educator, she has appeared on prestigious stages such as the Jazz Plaza Festival and performed as principal clarinetist in a concert at the National Theater with the Symphony Orchestra of the Netherlands. She currently serves as principal clarinetist of the Provincial Concert Band. In 2022, she received an Honorable Mention at the National Clarinet Competition Amadeo Roldán.

YVONNE GESTO

The expressive and passionate singer Yvonne Gesto Mosquera has been captivating her audiences with her distinctive, soulful, and funky voice for over 25 years. Born in Hanover, she has lived in Germany for 47 years, but her roots are in Galicia, on the picturesque northwest coast of Spain. Yvonne Gesto Mosquera impresses with her powerful interpretation of songs by legendary artists such as Sharon Jones and Aretha Franklin. Her music is a tribute to the great voices of soul and funk, and she masterfully brings the emotions and energy of these genres to the stage. With her impressive stage presence and passionate singing, Yvonne Gesto Mosquera is an artist you must experience. Her concerts are a feast for the senses and a must-see for all soul and funk lovers.

ELETUMBA'O

Eletumba’O is a Timba (salsa) band founded in Montpellier, France, in 2021. “Thanks to him,” the band’s motto and leitmotif, pays tribute to the legendary Juan Formell, creator of the group Los Van Van (Havana, Cuba). Eletumba’O, as Van Van, popularized songo, a rhythm danced by Cubans for 50 years. Drums, synthesizers, trombone, and flute form the orchestra’s sound. Franck Genard, the group’s director and drummer, brings together 11 musicians of Cuban and French origin. Their first recording, “El Buena Gente,” was released on November 28, 2023. Cubanness and mischief give Eletumba’O the “danceable” musical recipe to get “the people” dancing.

JAZZ DUO

An innovative duo founded in 2024 by Víctor Manuel Aguilera Herrera (percussionist, Enrique José Varona Pedagogical University) and Christopher Leamsi Lesclay Batista (bassist, lead vocals, Amadeo Roldán Conservatory). They fuse North American jazz, European pop, and global rhythms, prioritizing sonic experimentation and creative self-direction. Composers, producers, and arrangers of their works, they are heirs to the essence of the So Feel Me quartet (jazz/neo soul). Their essence: “Music without filters, where jazz is the root and freedom is the rule.” Their motto: “Reinventing jazz from the everyday.”

AILIME ROYO TEJEDA

He began his musical career at a young age, discovering his talent as a singer and joining the school choir. He later enrolled in the School of Art Instructors, specializing in music, from which he graduated in 2008 with high marks. He joined the Voces de Ébano Choir, where he participated in numerous events with foreign choirs. This group was included in the Can-Cuba project. He has performed on stage alongside exceptional musicians with the Van Van orchestra and is a member of the Son En Clave group. He has also participated in several Jazz Plaza Festivals, championing Latin jazz.

YOSVANY FERRER

Bassist. A graduate of the National School of Music (ENA) in Havana. He participated, alongside Edesio Alejandro, in the DVD produced in tribute to singer Adriano Rivera, which featured Puerto Rican artist Danny Rivera. He also performed in the concert “Tú eres la razón”, as part of the orchestra that accompanied Olga Tañón. He has been a member of various musical groups, including those led by Yoyo Ibarra, Señorita Dayana, Laritza Bacallao, El Dary, Cris Taylor, Bebesito, Charly Johayron, Velito el Bufón, Wampy, El Micha, Lenier, Kimiko y Jordy, and the recently deceased artist, El Taiger. For over a year, he has been part of the band Pablito FG y la Élite. With these ensembles, he has performed in several countries, including Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Aruba, at the International Hot Air Balloon Festivals in Guanajuato, and the International Music Festival in Chetumal, Mexico.

ACAOS MUSIC

The Acaos Music project is based in Havana. It is a small-format ensemble composed of Michel Cantero Acaos on piano, José Pérez on percussion, and María Lourdes Santana (Mirlo) as the lead vocalist. The group is currently working on an album of original music to be released next year. Musical genres include jazz, traditional Cuban music, bolero, mambo, salsa, habanera, trova, among others. Acaos Music won First Prize at the Nuit de l’Afrique Festival in Montreal. They have also participated in prominent music festivals such as the Afro-Latino Festival in Belgium, the Cuban Festival in Montreal, and the Peruvian Festival in Montreal, Canada.

DORIS LAVIN

Doris Teresa Lavín Baró was born in Colón, a municipality in the province of Matanzas, Cuba. She comes from a family of musicians, which inspired her from an early age to pursue a solid musical education. In 1990, she joined the group Son las que son, directed by Amparo César, where she was discovered by renowned trumpeter Lázaro Herrera of the Septeto Nacional, who recognized her as one of the best young soneras in the country. She has shared the stage with prominent Cuban music stars such as Félix Valoy, Guillermo Rubalcaba, Joseíto Fernández, Lázaro Miguel, and Lázaro Herrera. In 2003, she recorded her first album in Madrid, with the participation of José Rivero, Alain Pérez, Javier Masó ‘Caramelo’, and Dagoberto González (Jr.), earning critical acclaim. She has released nine albums throughout her career. In 2017, she moved to Switzerland, where she continues her artistic journey with her project Doris Lavin & su Combo, and in 2019, she received the MLM Traditions in the World Award in Miami.

 

MARISOL REDONDO

Singer-songwriter and harpist. Marisol Redondo has had a long professional career, performing across Europe and South America. She recorded her first single and debuted on television at the age of 12 in Uruguay. Later, in Spain, she formed the group Hermanos Redondo and performed for years in clubs and theaters, before launching her solo career at age 20, singing and composing in Catalan. She has won several awards and performed in prestigious venues, including the Palau de la Música and the Teatre Poliorama in Barcelona. In 2020, she became a semifinalist in the TV show The Voice of Switzerland and reached the finals of the Punta del Este International Song Festival (Uruguay). She has performed in iconic venues such as the TAK Theater (Liechtenstein), the Teatro Español de Azul (Argentina), the Sodre (Uruguay), Volkshaus, and Stok Theater (Zurich), always accompanied by renowned international bands featuring musicians from Uruguay, Cuba, Brazil, Colombia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, and Argentina. She has released four albums: El día que me quieras, Volver, and as a singer-songwriter, A la deriva and Piruetas. In 2025, she is preparing to release her fifth album, featuring original songs deeply connected to the realities of contemporary life.
