Robert Schwander, born in 1961 in Lucerne, spent his childhood on an idyllic farm in Römerswil, an experience that shaped his enduring interest in nature and sustainable living. From 1975 onward he continued his education independently in both art and anthroposophy.

His artistic path began early through self-study, inspired by books and by copying classical works. His painting and macro photography are deeply rooted in the natural world, whose colors, forms, and atmospheres resonate throughout both his abstract and photographic work. Today, Robert Schwander has returned to art with renewed focus, inviting viewers to rediscover nature — and life — in its depth and subtlety.
