A young artist with a notable career in the visual arts of Villa Clara. He studied at the Félix Varela Higher Pedagogical Institute in Santa Clara. Luaces is an artist who belongs to a generation that believes in economically oriented art. In his constant search for themes that encompass contemporary society, from an oriental aesthetic, the artist reflects on the social context in which he lives. His work, full of a profound look into the absurd, the obscene, and the forbidden, profanes his own poetic language. He has been a professor and Director of the Carlos Enríquez Art Gallery. He has held more than fifty exhibitions, participating in collective shows both inside and outside of Cuba. His work can be found in institutional and private collections in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, Sweden, Norway, England, Italy, France, the United States, Chile, Spain, and other countries. He has received numerous awards and recognitions.
