Yasmín graduated from the Enrique José Varona Pedagogical Institute in 2000 and from the National Academy of Fine Arts San Alejandro in 2005 with a specialization in Painting. She is a registered artist with Cuba’s National Council of Visual Arts. She worked as an art teacher at the V.I. Lenin Vocational School from 2001 to 2004, served as a cultural specialist at the Cotorro House of Culture in 2016, and as a visual arts specialist at the Fernando Boada Marty Art Gallery from 2017 to 2023. From 2023 to 2024, she held the position of director at the same gallery.
