Martin Altwegg
Already in my youth, photography was important to me: analog photography, with film development and black-and-white prints as well as photograms, made in a darkened bathroom. During my professional years as a medical microbiologist, there was largely little time for photography, and I would occasionally take snapshots while traveling, without greater ambitions. After my retirement, I completed a CAS program in photography and now spend a large part of my free time working with this fascinating medium.
Exploring the world with open eyes. Marveling at natural structures of stone, wood, or plants — on both a small and a large scale. In macro photography, I often use the focus stacking technique to achieve the necessary depth of field. Alongside this, I am also fascinated by structures and patterns created by humans.
